Gracen in the stocks
This week we dubbed Sam our wilderness wanderer. I think it fits. We were all chatting with a costumed woman, who he thought was a little nuts. So, he wandered a bit further down and was doing a number of acrobatics on this bench, which was tilted just enough that if he laid on it, he would fall into the dust. The dust which he had been scolded all day long for playing in. Oops mom. I didn't do it on purpose, you see I just fell, and then there were these rocks, and, well, they looked like they needed to piled up. . . and did I show you this bench I found. . . and these are my new friends. . . . .
Our favorite part was the Great Expectations Plantation, where they plant real crops and do real work using just the tools of the day, and the kids get to do all sorts of fun things. . . . Did you notice that the computer world stopped caring to underline my words. . . . ? So, here is Sam showing Danny how to saw with one of those back and forth thingys. I am an educaTOR.
The visitor's center. We let the kids throw all our pennies in the fountain. Lighten the load, you know.

What an awesome time. I love that no matter where he is, Sam is just Sam. (: Strange how all the tools used and daily life of the people back then just sounds SO COOL to us, and we can't wait to try it. Life doesn't seem like it was hard at all!
