(Note to reader: If you could say the following in a sort of rapper-ish sort of way, that would help me feel better. Thanks!)
Last month my Caleb turned TWO,
Then we all got the stomach FLU,
So I'm only now posting pictures for YOU,
You can complain, but what good would it DO-DO-DO-DO-DO??
He's the kind of boy that pushes all the WAY,
He likes to cook and loves Thomas the TRAI---(N)
If I wasn't so blonde, I'm pretty sure he'd make me GREY,
But, he's really super cute, and I love him any WAY,
These two little boys are the best-est of FRIENDS,
They have the kind of love that never ever ever ENDS,
When seldom they fight, they always make AMMENDS,
Those biscuits were made to give to the ELLISEN'S. . . (okay, it's Ellison's, and don't tell them about the tasting, please? We call it "quality control".)
My little Danny just learned how to READ,
He's got his short vowel sounds, and he's picking up SPEED,
He gives out hugs and kisses, and he gives 'em for FREE,
But, none for YOU, they're only for ME-ME-ME-ME.
Gracen wants to be a mommy SOMEDAY,
She likes to help me in the kitchen ANY--WAY,
She likes to snuggle and she likes to PLAY,
She says that with me forever she'll STAY. . . .
(Which doesn't work well with the be a mommy someday part. She'll have to explain that one to you, she has a plan, but it sounds more like a commune type system to me)
She likes to help me with the babies a LOT,
In the cold weather or when it's HOT,
This song could be better, but it's all that I've GOT,
Zaya's biting the table, now that's a great SHOT, YO!
This is my Sam, and he's kind of a SAP,
He's gettin' really huge but likes to sit on my LAP,
This is the part where (if you want to), you can CLAP,
Personal opinion--he's a good lookin' CHAP.
He's got the kind of mind that can work like light-en-ING,
He's likes to goof off, and he likes to day-DREAM,
He likes his room messy and his donuts with CREAM,
He can run all day without running out of STEAM.
Jon is really funny, yeah, he's kind of a CLOWN,
But, if we ever get robbed, that burlgar's goin' DOWN,
He likes to so-shall-lize all over the TOWN,
He just learned how to swim, so now he won't DROWN.
He's really very sweet and he's got a soft HEART,
He memorizes fast, and he's really very SMART,
He likes to go to Wal-mart and he likes to push the CART,
Until he runs into my heels, and boy does that SMART!
(Okay, I used "smart" twice. It has two meanings, people. Leave your negative comments below. Please be assured that they will be passed over with my individual attention.)
So, that is all for now, and you're fully caught UP,
I hope you liked my rhythm. . . . I hope that it didn't SUCK! YO!

You have a gift.
WOW! I didn't know anybody talked like that in West VA. I'm gonna be honest, your brother is probably going to mock, sorry...but thanks for the update...you know it's never too late..Ha, see I took the bait :)
Jenny - that was tight! Fo' shizzle! Holla - pop ya colla! No one will get up in your grill after that one! Okay, that's all the slang I know...I hang my head in shame :)
WOW Vicki! You da bomb!
Aight! You know it, sista! I try to keep it all on the DL (down low) when I'm creepin' in the hood. BTW - Jenny, your peeps are ice! And, your crib is tight! And, I love your ride! Okay, I am done now. Please...don't mock!
wow, vicki, I didn't know you had all that in you. Maybe you could be a guest on my blog? The next time I need a rapper, I will call you, my friend. I will at least confer with you for better vocabulary. You put me under the table. It took me a couple minutes to figure out what peeps were, it sounded moderately racey right at first.
Peeps = crew = family. This is what working in public education gets you! I have some co-workers who think it is funny to teach me some words and phrases and then I throw them around like I know what I am talking about! Fo' shizzle my nizzle rizzle! Holla, pop ya colla, dust your shoulder off! And, this was all rated G for general audiences.
